Traveling to Britain or America to study can be a great way to combine a holiday period with improving your level of English. It is very motivational to actually use what you have learnt. But it can be very expensive too.

You should decide what you want, either intensive study to prepare for exams like the Cambridge first certificate, or a fun holiday visiting some places you may have read or studied about in class. Also how long do you plan to go for, from a short weekend shopping trip, a few weeks study, or several months living and studying or working.

Private boarding schools , which are confusingly often called public schools, are more expensive, you pay for the tuition and living costs. There are also state schools which have boarding facilities there is a more limited choice but you only have to pay for living costs this means they are usually half to a third of the cost. For shorter less academic stays summer schools, many of which offer all year tuition courses, are a good choice.
